I had the privilege of meeting winemaker Michal Mosny at the SOMM 3 premiere in Kelowna, hosted at Okanagan College in the fall of 2018. Michal is the winemaker behind the label of Winemaker's Cut. If you're not already following Amanda Barnes, make sure it's a name you add to your (wine) repertoire. Amanda is a well known wine writer having contributed to publications such as Decanter, Oz Clarke's Wine Guide, The Guardian, and The Telegraph - just to name a few. If that's not accomplishment enough, Amanda gave up her career as an editor in England to pursue no small feat - visit 42 countries, in 6 continents, and 80 wine regions - yes you heard that right - for a book
I sat down with Severine Pinte, winemaker at renowned winery, Le Vieux Pin, in Oliver, BC. We discussed why they focus on a small selection of varietals, her philosophy on viticulture and being a female in the wine industry. #wine #winery #winemaking #okanagan #bc #bcwine #winetouring #wineregion #winetasting #womeinwine
